The following is my prayer for each person who listens to the Hello, Jimbo Speaking podcast as we enter a new decade.
May the attitude of Jesus be the driving force in each of our lives as it encompasses our emotions and desires, our wills and purposes, our intellects and thoughts, and our lifestyles and behaviors.
May the self-emptying self-sacrificial love of Jesus’ attitude be the overwhelming expressions of our new lives in Him.
May each of us be satisfied with the simplicity of only wanting our basic needs, i.e., the daily bread our Father provides as we seek his kingdom and righteousness.
May the Holy Spirit empower us as we walk in Him, seeking to see the gospel of the kingdom of God spread to each person we contact.
Then, and I think only then, can we expect a blessed and joy-filled new decade. May the 20’s roar with the grace of God’s people living in community and communion with Him and each other as we lay aside the trappings of conventionality, living in the reality of kingdom Christianity.
